Bandit takes prize at Hot Rod show

The '53 Studebaker "Moonshine Bandit" was a big hit with car buffs at the Hot Rod Extravaganza held on October 9 & 10 at the Claremont Show Grounds. The Studebaker Racing Co stand was used as a draw card for promoters of the show, the sleek Studebaker body boasting a fresh paint job and smart graphics display. Thanks must go to graphic designer Danial Watson and new sponsors Duracraft and Autotrim Design for a stunning job.

Spectators kept Robin and the crew busy most of the weekend asking questions and picking up some of the great range of merchandise on offer.

Now winter is over, the Bandit will come out of cotton wool. On Saturday October 30 the team will contest its first National Race Meeting for the new season. Robin and the crew will run in Ravenswood International Raceways Top Comp bracket, this time competing in a group 2 bracket in AA/AP trim.
